From audiences of 10 to 10,000, Drs. Morrison and Black have given keynote speeches around the world. What makes their keynotes special is the level of engagement.
Often the keynotes have live polls and other digital engagements that pull the audience in and make them part of the process - not just passive listeners. Regardless of the topic, in their keynotes, Drs. Morrison and Black offer comprehensive but practical frameworks that can capture the complexities of real world business, while consolidating the factors and dynamics into constructs that real world executives can use.
As part of this, their keynotes build on a solid foundation of research, but make it relevant to the audience with abundant real world examples and illustrations.
It stands to reason that a significant strategic shift or transformation will require new leadership capabilities. Old capabilities do not get you to new destinations or ways of competing and winning. Consequently, many of GLI's engagements involve significant leadership development initiatives. These development might involve 360-degree assessments and feedback to help leaders gain greater insight in to their leadership behaviors and impact on others, as well as capability development across a variety of topics, such as strategic thinking, globalization, executive presence, leading change, high performance teams and culture, motivating others, effective decision making and more. Typically the engagements not only provide leaders with the required development but track the impact of the development at both the individual and organizational level.
I'm InterestedMost of the management consulting done by GLI focuses on the top executives in the company and helping them formulate and implement their vision and strategy. This is often done at the enterprise level but also happens at the business unit and regional or country level of geography.
In simple terms, the vision is about where the unit wants to be over the next 5+years and the strategy is about how to compete and win along with way. These engagements tend not to just focus on analysis and recommendations and then leave it to the executives to figure out how to implement the recommendations, but tend to involve consulting on how to implement the recommendations effectively. Then work with clients to monitor and adjust the actual implementation for optimal impact.
GLI has also been engaged to develop leadership assessment instruments and tools, and to assist companies in their efforts to strengthen organizational culture.
